This is an online learning program presented as a live webcast that is
archived for Self-Study learning and is available for 12 months. A panel
of experts from the IRS and from private industry presents the content.
Former Director of Communications for the IRS, Les Witmer, will
moderate the panel. The Internal Revenue Service will participate in this program with a
representative from the IRS Affordable Care Act (ACA). This will be an
opportunity to deliver key messages regarding ACA provisions, i.e.,
Reporting of Employer Provided Healthcare Coverage on Form W-2, Small
Business Health Care Tax Credit, among other topics. The program will provide a timely update of changes that affect the
preparation of 2011 small business tax returns, especially Schedule C
Form 1040, Form 1065, and Form 1120S. Among the topics our expert panel
will take up include changes, including any last minute changes, brought
about by tax legislation enacted during the 2011 Congressional session
and the latest IRS regulations affecting the tax returns of small
businesses. Other topics our expert panel will consider are the tax
provisions that expired in 2011 and those that will expire in 2012, how
the alternative minimum tax affects the business taxpayer and whether
there will be a “patch” for 2012, and many of the various tax provisions
that have special relevance considering current economic conditions.
Panelists will discuss tax legislation that passed in Congress,
applicable to small business filings, to ensure complete understanding.
