AAM VISION

To create the premier, dynamic community that connects microbusinesses through networking, education, commerce, and mentoring to promote development, growth, and prosperity.

American Association of MicroBusinesses (AAM), headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota will facilitate a presence in other cities, states and/or regions as needed. These groups may be in the form of either virtual or in-person chapters and/or groups of at-large members around the country.

AAM will continue to expand its member services including:

  • Educational opportunities including distance learning and in-person meetings and seminars
  • Resource materials and other extensive curricula
  • Regional and local educational and networking events
  • Specially designed rural entrepreneurial events and resources
  • Specific mentoring programs and initiatives including a young entrepreneurs curriculum
  • A member-to-member mentoring program
  • Access to facilities and resources to promote business development
  • Information related to business development and on issues which affect the microbusiness
    and entrepreneurial demographic
  • Product and service discount package options  
  • Specific member benefits, services, and resources designed by AAM plus those provided in cooperation or partnership with organizations, companies, colleges and universities, institutes, and individual professionals

AAM is positioning itself to be a necessary component of the growth and development of microbusinesses and entrepreneurs while offering them the highest caliber of resources and services. In that way, the demographic sees AAM membership as a value-added necessity toward increased success. This also ensures a vibrant, representative membership. It also continues to attract partners, alliances, and linkages, which are in the mutual interest and expands AAM’s capabilities to serve.

AAM will facilitate the creation of a representative “council” of national leaders from existing and developing organizations within the microbusiness and entrepreneurial demographic to serve independently and perform functions including:

  • The sharing information and resources
  • Research and surveying
  • Partnership development
  • Program and policy development

AAM's MISSION

The purpose of AAM is to establish the value of microbusinesses and develop programs, services, and strategic alliances that directly contribute to their success.

AAM GOALS

The primary goal of the American Association of MicroBusinesses is to:

  • Be the premiere educational resource for microbusiness entrepreneurs
  • Be the leader in providing quality educational programming, resources and services to its members, partners, and the microbusiness population
  • Ensure that those elements are affordable, reflect quality, relevance and are delivered with the greatest integrity and fairness, and
  • Be the most credible, viable, representative and successful professional association for microbusiness entrepreneurs, nationwide
