COMMUNICATIONS
This committee oversees continuing web site development, newsletter production, providing contributing content for the newsletter, and other areas of association communication.
MEMBERSHIP OUTREACH
This committee reaches out to new members, contacts prospective new members, and cultivates relationships with other associations and groups, which may be interested in joining our association or planning joint activities.
PROGRAM & SPECIAL EVENTS
This committee develops and organizes a schedule of interesting and beneficial programs for the monthly membership meetings. The committee also plans joint programs and special events with identified groups and organizations and assists in the development of educational content for the annual Expo.
EXPO PLANNING
This committee plans and implements the annual Minnesota Small Business Expo & Conference. It also coordinates the co-sponsorship of other associations or parties, facilitates financial sponsorship in the event, and are responsible for all event content, promotion, policy, details and arrangements.
PARTNERSHIPS & ALLIANCES
This committee cultivates and develops strategic partnerships and relationships with key people in the public, business, and governmental sectors, foundations and the community to further the goals and objectives of the association. The committee’s current focus is on the development of the member benefit package and stable long-term funding and resources for the association.
PROMOTIONS
This committee organizes, coordinates, and addresses the basic promotional needs of the association. The tasks include the development and/or distribution of press releases, print articles, print ads, and other print materials, all of which can be formatted and posted on the association’s web site and forwarded to other web sites as appropriate; the processing of print and/or electronic mailings which includes label generation—print or electronic, bulk mail processing, bindery, and other tasks needed for the processing and distribution of outreach mailings; promotional support for the Expo and other programs and special events; and other promotional functions as appropriate.
BENEFITS TASK FORCE
This task force assesses member needs, priorities, and preferences, gathers and analyzes information, explores options, reaches out to current and prospective partners or providers (as appropriate), and advises the Board and membership on pertinent aspects of the association’s comprehensive benefit package. The task force is also involved in the delivery, registration process, and administration issues which relate to the benefits package. This task force will commence as an ad hoc committee and may be modified to an ongoing committee at a later date.
